If someone has resigned, hiring managers don't want to carry a vacant role into the festive season or new year. That means faster turnaround and quicker wins for you. 

Less competition.

Most people are "waiting" for bonuses, for the new year, for motivation. The talent pool is quieter, and that gives you the edge.

Budgets disappear.

Roles with approved headcount? If they are not filled, some get scrapped in next year's budget. Hiring managers don't want to lose that seat and they'll act fast.

It's peak networking season.

Festive meetups. End-of-year catchups. People are more open, generous, and accessible. It's the perfect time to reconnect, build relationships, and be top of mind when hiring picks up in Jan.
