JOB SEARCH DOESN’T HAVE TO BE YOUR FULL-TIME JOB. BUT IT DOES NEED A SYSTEM.
Oct 29, 2025
Let’s get something straight: Your job search should not take over your life.
I see it all the time.
- Smart, experienced professionals pouring 8 hours a day into online applications.
- Perfecting every bullet point.
- Refreshing job boards like it’s a second job.
And… crickets.
It’s not a time problem. It’s a structure problem.
Here’s what I teach my clients – some of whom are mid-to-senior professionals with full-time jobs and toddlers crawling on their laps:
The secret is structure, not hustle.
1-2 hours on weekdays. 1-2 hours on weekends. And you are done.
This isn’t about doing everything. It’s about doing the right things in the right order:
WEEK 1–3: Foundation
- Polish your CV (outsource if needed - seriously, your time is worth more).
- Update your LinkedIn.
- Get clear on your direction.
WEEK 4–6: Visibility & Network
- Cap online applications to 30 minutes a week.
- Go hard on outreach.
Every week: Focus on conversations
- Track how many people you speak with, not how many jobs you apply for.
- Build momentum through clarity, not chaos.
- Time block like your sanity depends on it (because it kinda does).
If this sounds like a breath of fresh air, it’s because it is.
No more guessing. No more burnout. No more treating job search like a full-time grind.
With you,
